M-I-L-E-Y

Yes, I took the girls to see Miley Cyrus when she was in town in November. It was so much fun (thank you Funny Pants) and Funny and Smarty were even able to snag two extra tix at the last minute. "Put my hands up, Playn my song..." We were able to sit extra close to the stage and even wandered backstage for a bit. Good times!

Christmas 2009

Christmas 2009 was wonderful! We celebrated the birth of Jesus in a several BIG ways! I love seeing my children learn more and more each year and understand just what the season means.

H-A-LL-O-W-EE-N 2009

We had a fabulous time planning our Halloween this year!  Sassy Pants decided that she wanted to be Pinkalicious, Cutie Pants was Bob da Bilder, and Sweetie Pants was a Pretty Witch.  (Smarty was playing hockey out of town)

I had to be very creative with Pinkalicious and I searched for the perfect dress and wondered how I would craft a fake cupcake (you need to know the story- Pinkalicious is a book about a girl who sneaks one more pink cupcake and then turns pink- thus the name...It is Sassy's favorite book and I recently just read it to the entire first grade as I was asked to be the "Friday Friend" and read a book and tell about my job)  and I found the perfect little pink cupcake purse, cupcake earrings, necklace, bracelet and ring.  (I went way overboard and spent waayyyy more than I should have on a Halloween costume)

We went to the zoo and attended their "G *houls at Gr*assmere" event.  We took a sweet friend of Sassy's with us and "M" spent the night afterwards.  These two are sooo much fun!  They had so much fun and even broke it down on the dance floor to Thriller!

Halloween night, Sweetie and Cutie were with us while Sassy was with her dad.  We had a ball going around our new neighborhood and trick or treating.  I took them around for the first hour, then daddy took them around for another hour and a half.  I would guess by the fact that we were out of candy by 8:30p that we had close to 100-150 spooks come to our house.  We had sooo much fun!

Of course, no Halloween would be complete without our yearly trip to the farm down the road for corn mazing and pumpkin picking.  The rain in the area made most of the punkins moldy though, so we looked and looked, but couldn't find one that wasn't completely gross.  Oh well, tons o fun!

We took photos of the three oldest of the bunch on the tire swing, Smarty's came out sooo good.  He's sooo good-lookin'; just like his daddy!

Super JaJah

If you are ever in trouble, this guy can help- or as he says " Super JaJah to the rescue".

It is amazing when this Super Hero shows up and how he actually tries to "fly" off of the staircase, or torture the dog in order to "help" him.

Super JaJah will defend you from "cawy monsthers" with his special "blasser (blaster) all the while counting down 3, 2, 1-

He is a real crime-fighter.  Even when he won't take the time to actually potty in the potty but in his "unnerwear" and I gently scold him, he says "but I Super JaJah mommy, I Super JaJah".

Apparently, super heroes don't have to take the time to use the potty.  Who knew?

For now, Super JaJah is wearing the same super-hero cape that his daddy wore when he was a young crime-fighter- made by his daddy's meme.
I have received a special message from the North Pole that Super JaJah has a special blue cape with his name on it that we will receive in a couple of months.

New Blog Beginning

So.... I haven't blogged in forever. I want this blog to be a positive one that details my children's lives so that it can be a digital scrapbook. So, I am starting anew. I can't possibly detail all that has happened since my last blog. We are still ill from the chronic carbon monoxide poisoning from our old house. It is quite depressing actually, but I don't like to talk about it, so I am not going to detail our health problems here. I just ask that all of you pray for healing for me and my family. That being said- I will focus on the POSITIVE> we lived through it, ongoing health problems and all. There are days where our symptoms are just similar to sinus pressure, then there are days where we literally cannot function normally and all we do is just the basics to get through the day. We try our best to push ourselves despite feeling bad/sick to do whatever we can to raise our children and still enjoy activities that all children should enjoy.

This Fall has been super. Breathing fresh air, making fall crafts, teaching Cutie Pants about Fall, enjoying God's beautiful creation with His beautiful colors that He created and just enjoying simplicity. Sassy and Sweetie are playing soccer again this Fall and Smarty is playing hockey once again. Cutie WAS potty trained for about a week, but he regressed and we are working on it once again. We now have a sweet puppy (an Australian Silky- a cross between a Yorkie and Australian Terrier) named MacDuffie- we call him Duffie. He is the best dog. Love him so much!

Sassy loves her new school and first grade so much and has a sweet, sweet friend that we have had over for sleepovers twice now and we have had a blast with them at the zoo for Halloween, dinner, etc...Sassy's report card was perfecto and she is really excelling. She reads on almost a second grade level and we are so proud of her!

Sweetie is doing well in school as well with a great report card and a responsibility award at school! She definitely is our most responsible child. She is our mother hen! She has grown so much! She looks like a fifth grader!

Smarty is so smart, yet like most boys his age (11)- he is a little spacy at times, so his grades could be a little better, but he is sooo smart. He is still a phenomenal goalie and he can carry on a conversation with an adult for hours on end. It is amazing the knowledge that he has.

Cutie has started Mothers' Day Out two times a week and he loves his "coolll". I have sooo many "cutie-isms" that he says. I will start to blog them on another blog post, because I am writing them down so as not to forget. We are sooo close to having him out of pull-ups and I HOPE that we can get it done soon!

Funny Pants is working harder than ever and I am proud, proud wife! He is a wonderful husband and we are about to celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary next week. He has really been helpful around the house as I...

have launched my PR firm and am amazed at the number of clients that have contacted me to help them launch products, promote events and handle press inquiries. I am trying to find that balance that all working mothers try to find. I pray daily that God will lead me in this venture.

We are learning to ride a real big-girl bike, learning to swing a bat at a ball, learning ABC's, playing with all of the neighbor kids (love, love, love the neighbors) and Funny and I try to make time for each other. We recently went to Chateau Elan for our anniversary and Super Nanny stayed with Cutie pants for a few days.

So, stay tuned and follow us to learn more about the Napier Bunch...

Ballet recital 2009

Sassy Pants had her annual ballet recital in June and she did fabulous! I was a proud mama watching her remember her dance on stage! This year she did ballet and tap and both were cute dances. Our sassy loves all things girly (and that includes soccer too) and I hope that she continues to want to dance! Tap-tap
Another trophy for our collection

Hi mom!

Time flies...

Time flies. It's true. We have now been in our new house for a month and I am finally able to rest and blog. Whew. we moved on a day of storms, tornadoes, and flooding, so we got everything loaded, but it was about 40 hours later when we were finally finished with the unload. Long story, but we were so glad to be here. It is comfy, cute and we are feeling much better. A week after we moved in, it was Easter. We dyed Easter eggs, had an Easter egg hunt in the backyard, learned about the risen Lord at church and had a fabulous Easter brunch at our fav restaurant... It was a peaceful, wonderful holiday and we are so thankful to Jesus for dying on the cross for our sins. He is risen indeed!

Time flies. My baby girl is 6. Where did the time go?

The following weekend, we had Sassy's 6th birthday party at a wonderful dance studio (where she takes dance) and Ms. Natalie did a great job teaching Sassy's friends, cousins, and little brother a dance to a HSM tune. It was a great time and Sassy had such sweet friends show up to celebrate her big day! I let her wear a special tiara that day. Funny pants bought me that tiara long ago and it stays in Sassy's room as part of her princess room's theme. I have never let her wear it, but promised that on this day, her special 6 year birthday, that she would be able to wear it. This beautiful princess should wear a tiara everyday! She looked absolutely breathtaking (can a mom say that without sounding braggadocious?) and I am forever proud! She is still working on all of the thank you notes, but we've almost got them done. It is a lot for a 6 yo to write that many. She is a blessed, sweet, smart little girl and I am so thankful to be her mother. My heart is full of joy for her and I couldn't be more in love with my sweet "sister queen". When she was two or so I started calling her "sister queen" and I have no idea why. I have called her that ever since (in addition to Sassy pants, etc...) My equally beautiful 95-year old grandmother and sweet auntie Ann made the trip to the party as well- it was super! Thanks to mom and dad for helping us out and to dad (papa) for putting the trampoline together for the kids here at the house. Here are photos from Sassy's big day (Sweetie pants was unable to come and she was missed by all)

Cutie got in on the action. He paid attention and did all of the warm-up exercises. It was hilarious and Sassy was so good and didn't whine a bit about Cutie trying to steal the show.
