It's Garbage!

That's right! It IS Garbage!

Cutie pants has made a life-altering decision. He is now a big boy.

Last night, he decided that he wanted his most-prized possession, his "paaccciii" to be trash. If you follow our blog, you know that I have tried hard over the last few months to banish this paci. Cutie turns two in 9 days and I really wanted him to stop using the paci at around two. Soooooo, we had made paci only a nap and night-night thing. He found one last night and put it in his mouth (he stashes them) and we told him "no, you're a big boy! Daddy doesn't have a paci, "brother" doesn't have a paci! Why don't you go throw that paci in the trash" He said "YEAH!" and went and did it! Now, I should say that he HAS thrown it away before and we were finished, but then he found one in his secret hiding spot and we were back to square one. But,this is really it! He cried for it when he went to bed last night and he did wake up at about 4am, but he slept for the most part. He hasn't asked for it yet today, so we're good. I am strong. This will last. I put together a quick slideshow to show Cutie's affection for his best friend, his paci, but I have no idea how to post it b/c it is a pdf. If anyone knows how... please let me know... P.S Cutie does have a security blanket and two stuffed animals that are must-haves in his bed, so I am not a terrible mother. He still has his other favorite things...I am a little sad. He is so grown up already. It went by so fast.

I did a favor to us all and covered up the actual "trash" in the trash can with a paper towel.
