'Tis the Season

I am so in the Christmas mood! Despite the advanced sightings (before Thanksgiving) of Christmas decor in the neighborhood, I waited patiently until after Thanksgiving to put up the tree! And now, I am starting a new family adventure...About three weeks ago, Funny and I were at Phill..ips Toy.. Ma.r.t and we bought a magic elf. Our new member of our family is a sweet little elf named Peyton! Here is how it works...Santa sent him from the North Pole b/c the elf needs a vacation and Peyton likes to hide in silly places. At night, we tuck him in, feed him crackers & water as Santa instructed and then we sprinkle him with North Pole snowflakes and when we wake in the morning, we survey what he ate and go on the hunt to find our friend. Why, Peyton has even stumped Smarty Pants with his knack for hiding. Smarty is completely stumped on how this seemingly stupid stuffed doll can quickly disappear from his sight and end up in different rooms. We also sent really cool emails to Santa and he emailed all of us back. I am so excited that Smarty is not completely over the belief in Santa! This may be his last year to believe and I really want to enjoy all of our sweet, innocent children! Here is a few pics of our newest family member...

Cutie was in NO mood for the photos. He is still getting used to the tree and all of the new stuff in the house. Do you know how hard it is to hang Christmas lights on a tree with a toddler attached to your right side? Poor baby really had a hard time coping with my attention on something else. I have a ton of pics from our anniversary trip, Thanksgiving and just us being a fam. Will post again later...
